1.1 In this privacy policy, “we”, “us” and “our” means Stratocumulus Legal (ABN 78 639 204 710), which is an incorporated legal practice operated by Stratocumulus Tuesday Pty Ltd.

1.3 If we provide a “designated service” that is regulated by Austrac (as defined in Items 1 to 9 of Table 6, contained in subsection 6(5B) of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth)), we will publish a separate privacy policy in respect of the personal information we are required to collect to verify your identity.
2. General
2.1 We collect information about you and your interactions with us, for example, when you engage us to provide legal services, call us or otherwise visit our website. The information we collect from you may include your identity and contact details, your use of our services and details of enquiries or complaints you make.
2.2 We collect, hold and use your personal information so that we can:
(a) provide you with services, and manage our relationship with you;
(b) contact you, for example, to respond to your queries or complaints, or if we need to tell you something important;
(c) comply with our legal obligations and assist government and law enforcement agencies or regulators.

(a) If you contact us via our website contact form, we collect the information and contact details that you provide, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
(b) We will retain the information for the purpose of responding to any enquiries or messages. If the information is relevant to engaging us, we may enter it on our practice management system and retain it for the purpose of our relevant client file.

3.3 User comments
(a) We collect your name and contact details that you provide if you choose to post a comment on this website. The email address that you are asked to submit will not be published online. We ask for an email address to help identify who is making a comment, and to be able to contact you in response if required.
(b) When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. (c) If you leave a public comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely, on the basis that they add value to, and become part of, the relevant item posted on this website. This is also so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. If we want us to delete a comment you have made, let us know and we will.

If you subscribe to our email updates, we will collect your name and email only for the purpose of adding you to our email distribution list. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the link at the foot of each email sent, or by otherwise contacting us directly.

If you request a document download from this website, we request an email address to send you a download link. We may contact you directly for the purpose of following up with you in relation to your download and to discuss any services we may be able to provide.

You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
