WIPO World Intellectual Property Day (26 April 2020)
This first post in the Stratocumulus Legal update series is to note the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organisation) World Intellectual Property Day on 26 April 2020, themed “Innovate for a Green Future”. WIPO called for a “green tech surge” to fight climate change, with Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) data showing that green energy technology filings increased only 1.3% from 2018. Link
These update posts aim to present short briefs on intellectual property and related legal developments relevant to our practice that have caught our attention. They are not intended to be comprehensive in their selection, nor will they necessarily provide complete analysis. They may not even be chronological in sequence, but these updates will form the content of a regular email update we can send to our subscribers. I think this is a great way of connecting with my network while demonstrating interest in this area of law, and all the while keeping up to date. Before the practice launches and the website goes live, I am pre-populating some content to show why you ought to subscribe here.
At the moment, I’m aiming for an email to be sent on Sundays, so that any IP news we’ve captured the previous week is in your inbox to digest before the week ahead.
